√ Psychiatric hospital clinic in south NorwayThis is the DPS level of the psychiatric service • The hospital has 17 beds • The whole psychiatric service employs 55 people • Emergency rehabilitation department for adults – 4 consultant positions • Patients for hospitalization/forced hospitalization, start treatment√ Psychiatric outpatient clinic in mid-west Norway This is the District Psychiatric center and this position is within the outpatient clinic for adults – but this center also has a unit with 28 beds, but located 500m for the outpatient clinic • DPS for adults – 4 consultant positions • Diagnosis and treatments of patients √ Psychiatric hospital in mid-west and south Norway This is the hospital level of the psychiatric services • The hospital in mid-west has 21 beds and 78 beds in south Norway • The whole psychiatric service for adults has 360 employees in mid-west and 400 employees in south Norway • Emergency rehabilitation department for adults – 4 consultants positions • Patients for hospitalization/forced hospitalization, start treatment √ Psychiatric clinic (DSP) attached to the hospital in south NorwayThis is the local part of the psychiatric services • The whole psychiatric service in this area has 40 employees • This is a somatic hospital which covers around 19.500 inhabitants • In connection with the hospital there is a section for mental health care for children and youths (BUP), which aims at helping children and adolescents (0-18 years) and their families • BUP offers different psychiatric services to children and adolescents, and their families in the specific area that includes other communes located around the area • Clinic sees children and young people in a development perspective, and in the context of their families and community. Reference to BUP takes place in collaboration with parents, doctor, PPT (Pedagogic and Psychological Services) or child welfare service• The clinic has two main teams working with children and youth patients, also has specific expertise in several areas. They provide offers for individual treatment, family and /or group therapy. Their focus is mainly short-term approach, but also long-term therapeutic treatment when this is necessary. If it is necessary and advisable to apply drug therapy, this is conducted in cooperation with the child / youth and parents. Clinic emphasizes recognized treatment methods that are research based combined with each patient’s life situation and an individual therapy planning.
